Job summary

Inventure, a Houston-based renewable energy IPP, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering on grid-scale storage projects from EPC through COD. You’ll be the technical liaison among Engineers of Record, the EPC, and the internal team to ensure cohesive design.

The role emphasizes design reviews, outside-engineer management across electrical, civil, structural, and SCADA, and turning utility and investor requirements into practical specs for reliable, cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required or preferred.
• PE license is a plus.
• 6–10 years in utility-scale power or renewables.
• Experience managing outside engineers.
• Strong knowledge of substations and MV/HV.
• Battery storage familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews at milestones and manage RFIs, submittals, changes.
• Manage EORs and consultants across electrical, civil, structural, and SCADA.
• Translate utility, ISO, AHJ, and investor requirements into specs.
• Evaluate batteries, PCS, MV transformers, switchgear; review bids/datasheets.
• Collaborate with PM as technical counterpart for EPC and independent reviews.
• Review commissioning plans and acceptance criteria; feed lessons learned into design.
