Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a technically strong engineering leader to run the software engineering team for the AppExchange Go To Market App.

This role is pivotal in transforming AppExchange into a fully integrated, transactable marketplace that accelerates ISV sales and streamlines purchasing, deployment, and payment for customers. You will guide architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and partner with Product Owners to align priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 3+ years directly managing and mentoring high-performing software engineering teams.
• Deep technical background in scalable, highly available platform development, with a focus on Java/JVM languages and modern cloud architecture.
• Experience leading teams and hands-on work with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Proven track record building reliable, self-healing services with robust automation and end-to-end service ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture discussions and technical strategy, proactively resolving systemic issues and making data-driven decisions for long-term stability and scalability
• Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering with product priorities, coordinate delivery, and communicate execution risks
• Mentor and grow engineering talent, providing technical guidance and career development, empowering teams to self-coordinate, and participating in hiring
• Stay hands-on with technical work when needed, contributing directly to keep skills sharp and support the team
