Job summary

Cohere is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Deployment Engineering team in EMEA. You will guide Forward Deployed Engineers, drive North platform deployments in private cloud and on-premises, and own customer success from implementation to delivery.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to scale AI delivery to enterprises, mentor on cloud infra, Kubernetes, and enterprise deployments, and optimize OpenSearch and databases. This role is remote within the UK/EMEA region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software at scale.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
• High agency - you don't wait for permission to solve problems.
• A doer mentality - you dig in and get stuff done.
• Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers across EMEA.
• Drive end-to-end deployment of Cohere's North platform in private cloud and on-premises environments.
• Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises.
• Mentor your team on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and enterprise-grade deployments.
• Optimize performance for OpenSearch, databases, and other K8s services.
• Define scaling guidelines for GPU and CPU compute resources.
• Build processes and technology that scale as we grow.
