Job summary

Zentis North America, located in Plymouth, Indiana, seeks an experienced Engineering leader to drive site-wide improvements in safety, productivity, and quality. On-site role, collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and IT, and coordinating with the Central Engineering team in Germany.

You will lead engineering projects from concept to implementation, mentor engineers, manage capital initiatives, and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing/food/consumer products or similar
• Proven experience leading engineers and technical teams
• Proven experience managing capital projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong project management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience driving operational improvements and solving complex technical challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team members in technical excellence and production best practices
• Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
• Lead engineering projects from concept to implementation
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Establish project priorities and allocate resources to support business objectives
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams in Production, Quality, Maintenance, IT and the Central Engineering team in Germany
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance safety, productivity, quality and operational efficiency
• Build and strengthen engineering processes, standards and best practices across the site
• Drive continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, root cause problem solving, and sustainable solutions
• Support equipment upgrades, expansions, facility improvements, and new technology implementation
• Collaborate with Central Engineering and global stakeholders on strategic initiatives and equipment installations
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
