Job summary

Form Energy in Weirton, WV is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee electrode assembly operations, leading the operations engineering and technician teams responsible for cathode assembly, lamination, welding, gluing, and inspection. You will staff, coach, and evaluate the organization while partnering with cross-functional engineering leaders to drive scalable, automated manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations, with team management experience.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and manage performance of process engineers or technicians.
• Deep familiarity with manufacturing metrics (OEE, downtime tracking) and root-cause problem solving.
• Experience with assembly-line processes such as lamination, welding, gluing, and inspection.
• Track record of setting operational objectives and work plans considering cost, schedule, and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Own Operation Engineering's results across lamination, welding, gluing, and inspection, ensuring line cadence and throughput.
• Manage and develop a team of process engineers and technicians, including staffing and performance decisions.
• Establish and track section-level metrics (OEE, yield, cycle time) and direct resources to bottlenecks.
• Set methods for evaluating floor-level solutions and ensure safe, robust fixes before scale-up.
• Represent the section in cross-functional planning with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Build and prioritize a continuous improvement roadmap balancing waste reduction and reliability.
• Act as escalation point between shop floor and systems engineering to influence equipment design.
