Job summary

CITY HOME is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two product teams that support our ecommerce checkout platform. This hands-on leader will drive delivery, quality, and engineering practices across React Native and Node.js, APIs, and cloud-native services.

The role reports to the Head of Software Development and is based on-site at our Tamarac corporate office. You will collaborate with Product, UX, QA, Architecture, DevOps, Security, Data, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
• Experience with ecommerce, retail, marketplace, or customer-facing web/mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineers across two ecommerce product teams.
• Own team delivery health, sprint execution, roadmaps, and operational discipline.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate business outcomes into technical plans.
• Guide delivery across React Native, Node.js, APIs, and ecommerce capabilities.
• Drive engineering practices including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
• Promote responsible use of AI coding assistants to improve delivery speed and quality.
