Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager, Document Management to lead end-to-end delivery of document management systems, AI-assisted classification and automated retention at production scale.

You will coach engineers, own architectural decisions across Java/.NET, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD, and partner with Operations, Security and UX to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading software engineering teams with a track record of performance improvement.
• 5+ years in document management or related content management domain.
• Hands-on with Java and/or .NET backend development; review code and decisions.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices in production.
• Proven ability to own architectural decisions in document management context.
• Experience deploying on AWS/Azure with focus on availability and cost.
• Familiarity with AI/ML development, LLM integration and agent frameworks.
• Strong communication for executives, regulators and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of document management engineering initiatives.
• Own platform architecture and API/microservices design across stack.
• Set engineering standards for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee release management across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Ensure environment health, incident triage and post-mortems.
• Guide AI roadmap: AI-assisted classification, search and retention workflows.
• Manage hiring, performance reviews and team growth.
• Collaborate with Operations, Security and UX for compliant, scalable solutions.
