Job summary

SAMACO is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering department, ensuring design input, output, and engineering functions align with business objectives and ISO design control methods.

You will coordinate design approvals with customers, manage cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Purchasing and Manufacturing, and drive process improvements to enhance manufacturability and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field and 5–10 years of engineering experience.
• Management experience in a heavy metal fabrication setting preferred.
• ASME code and pressure vessel design experience a plus, but not required.
• Welding processes knowledge.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering department to support business objectives and engineering functions.
• Oversee design input/output, estimation support, and design control per ISO.
• Coordinate design approvals with customers and internal stakeholders; ensure accuracy of final outputs.
• Promote development of new design and manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability.
• Provide guidance on ASME Code documents and regulatory approvals.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, Estimating, and Manufacturing.
