Job summary

Samsara is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Core Infrastructure team. You will guide compute, networking, storage, and cloud systems, ensuring availability, scalability, and security at scale.

The role is remote for US residents, with a focus on developer velocity and reliability for a platform processing trillions of data points annually. You will manage a globally distributed team, shape strategy, and partner with security and product leaders to enable faster delivery while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in management.
Strong leadership, communication, and alignment across teams.
Background in production infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.
Experience guiding complex initiatives to measurable results.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed Core Infrastructure team.
Own technical strategy and translate it into an integrated roadmap.
Improve operational health, capacity, failure isolation, and observability.
Build automation and self-service infrastructure for faster engineering delivery.
Apply AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency and toil reduction.
Hire and develop an inclusive, high-performing team.
