Job summary

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team responsible for clinical content management and diagnostic report generation. You will shape the technical roadmap, align engineering priorities with clinical/reporting needs, and partner across product, medical, and analytics teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years professional software engineering experience.
2+ years in a technical leadership role.
2+ years managing software teams including hiring and performance reviews.
5+ years experience with Python, relational databases, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
5+ years delivering complex software using RESTful APIs, microservices, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers across levels.
Own the technical roadmap for clinical content management systems.
Partner with product, clinical content authors, and stakeholders to define requirements.
Drive design and delivery of tools for clinical content, templates, and reports.
Oversee content lifecycle: authoring, versioning, review, publishing, quality metrics.
Establish and maintain engineering standards, CI/CD, testing, and incident response.
Manage team capacity, hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
Drive architecture decisions for scalable storage, delivery, and governance.
Champion automation of content assembly and report generation.
Support content/test template initiatives with technical guidance.
Communicate strategy, progress, and risks to leadership.
Define processes for applying AI/LLM tools to content workflows with regulatory alignment.
Remove blockers and ensure timely delivery across teams.
