Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building and scaling bot management, fraud detection, and abuse mitigation products. You will recruit, mentor, and grow engineers, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with Product Management to shape the engineering roadmap.

You will partner with detection and research teams to turn signals into reliable, performant customer solutions across real-time services and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading engineering teams and fostering growth.
• Strong software engineering foundation with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience taking projects from inception to production in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Ability to connect business goals with technical decisions and communicate tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team with clear feedback, career development, and ownership culture.
• Shape and deliver the engineering roadmap in partnership with Product Management.
• Provide technical leadership in scalable distributed services, APIs, and analytics.
• Turn detection signals into customer capabilities with actionable analytics and configurable controls.
• Measure and improve customer outcomes using feedback and production data.
• Own operational health with observability, safe releases, and incident response.
• Drive cross-team execution and resolve dependencies across teams.
