Job summary
Sunrock is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for its growing portfolio of distributed generation Battery Energy Storage System projects. This role reports directly to senior leadership and will oversee engineering from project origination through design, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and operational handover.
The role will work closely with commercial and development teams, EPC partners, equipment suppliers, utilities, and external engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of power systems and battery technologies.
- Experience with BESS, distributed generation, and renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities across a BESS portfolio.
- Set engineering standards and processes for project delivery.
- Oversee internal and external engineering resources.
- Coordinate with EPC partners, suppliers, and utilities.
- Review electrical studies and equipment selections.
- Support design reviews, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
