Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for its growing portfolio of distributed generation Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role reports directly to senior leadership and will oversee engineering from project origination through design, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and operational handover.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of engineering experience, including BESS/renewable energy.
Strong understanding of power systems, interconnection, protection, and battery tech.
Experience with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and engineering firms.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering activities across a distributed generation BESS portfolio.
Develop engineering strategies and manage internal/external resources.
Support project development with technical feasibility assessments and design
Coordinate engineering deliverables with EPC contractors and equipment manufacturers.
Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and energization.
