Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Engineering Manager for Planner Evaluation in Sunnyvale, CA. You will guide the Motion Planning team, defining multi-quarter roadmaps and leading data-driven evaluation across simulation and on-road testing within the Super Cruise program.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture quality, and collaborate with Safety, Systems Engineering, and Product teams to deliver reliable, scalable evaluation solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in CS/Robotics/Engineering or related fields.
• Experience leading engineering analysis, ML evaluation, or autonomy analytics.
• Strong Python and C++ development in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-quarter roadmap designs for autonomy planner evaluation.
• Lead architecture decisions and drive verification strategies.
• Mentor engineers and oversee CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Coordinate with Safety, Systems Engineering, and Product teams.
• Drive data-driven analysis and test plans for new features.
