General Motors is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building software, metrics, and analysis systems evaluating autonomous driving performance at scale. You will combine technical judgment with people leadership to shape GM’s evaluation platforms and accelerate AV deployment.

You will coach engineers, set direction across interfaces and the autonomy stack, and drive ML-based analysis methods, dashboards, and reports for leadership insight.

Formación

• 8+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, data analysis, ML evaluation, or autonomy analytics with team leadership.
• 3+ years evaluating dynamic systems using numerical/ML approaches and time-series data.
• Production Python in large teams, with testing and code review practices.
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy and data visualization for large-scale analysis.
• Comfort with C++ codebases and core algorithms instrumentation.
• Strong cross-functional communication and ability to turn needs into clear plans.
• Bachelor/Master/PhD in CS/Robotics/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead engineers building autonomy evaluation platforms, metrics, dashboards, and analysis tooling.
• Set technical direction for systems evaluating autonomy software performance across interfaces.
• Drive design and delivery of analysis algorithms to summarize and cluster metrics.
• Develop new ML methods to quantify performance and identify behavior patterns.
• Oversee ML components evaluation across perception, prediction, planning with explainable methods.
• Deliver dashboards and reports for trend analysis, drift detection, and leadership insight.
• Collaborate with Autonomy, Simulation, Systems, Safety to align evaluation strategy with needs.
• Leverage AI techniques to classify autonomy performance and prioritize validation work.
• Maintain high technical bar with design, reviews, testing, and observability.
• Translate results into feedback for engineering and leadership and drive priority outcomes.
