Job summary

Commure is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Provider Pod to lead a full‑stack team responsible for AI-powered documentation, clinical notes, and reusable AI workflows. You will own people leadership, technical direction, and roadmap execution across Python backends, TypeScript/React surfaces, and AI/LLM integration in real clinical environments.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in people leadership.
• Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing engineering teams.
• Strong full-stack depth across Python, TypeScript/React, APIs, data systems, containers, and cloud.
• Hands-on experience with integrating LLM APIs or AI-powered features in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Provider Pod: recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of full-stack engineers.
• Own product and engineering outcomes: drive roadmap and execution across documentation, AI assistants, reusable AI skills, and core provider workflows.
• Set the technical direction: guide architecture across Python services, TypeScript/React experiences, data systems, and AI/LLM workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally: collaborate with Product, Design, clinical experts, AI/ML, Data, Platform, and Air Billing to ship solutions.
• Raise the engineering bar: establish practices for planning, code quality, testing, deployment, and observability while keeping the team fast.
• Drive operational excellence: ensure provider-facing systems are reliable, secure, performant, and well-supported by on-call incidents.
• Build a high-ownership culture: mentor technical leaders and foster judgment, customer empathy, and bias toward action.
