Job summary

PointClickCare is hiring a Manager of Software Engineering in the United States to lead multiple Agile teams, drive end‑to‑end software delivery, and own technical design in alignment with business goals. The role emphasizes AI‑first thinking and collaboration with product, engineering, and customer teams.

You will mentor developers, guide architecture decisions, and ensure high‑quality releases while advancing a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software development experience with most recent experience as a Development Manager or Team Lead
• Solid experience with the software development life cycle including Agile methodologies, Java SDK 1.5 or higher, and SQL usage
• Experience with Java Web Applications, Servlets, JSP, JDBC; Spring Framework 3.x+ including Spring MVC; Microsoft SQL Server; HTML/CSS/JS; Web services; OOP concepts; Enterprise software design

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cross‑functional teams of developers
• Champion an AI‑first culture and drive adoption of AI capabilities
• Drive end‑to‑end delivery of software projects using Agile methodologies
• Own technical design and architecture decisions with stakeholders
• Ensure high‑quality releases through strong process management
• Partner with product managers to align development with user needs
• Continuously improve team performance and development practices
• Lead Operational Excellence to support customer needs and protect patient outcomes
• Represent PointClickCare with knowledge of products, industry trends, and business acumen
