Job summary

PointClickCare is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Transitions of Care engineering organization. You will report to the VP of Engineering and oversee roughly 50 engineers via 10–11 managers, aligning roadmaps with business priorities and driving scalable, AI-enabled platform architecture.

You will partner with Product Management and cross-functional leaders to deliver complex, cloud-based solutions, shaping a high-performing team culture and talent density while championing

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience with leadership in large tech organizations.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams through several management layers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven ability to partner with Product Management and executives to define strategy and deliver outcomes.
• Experience implementing software engineering best practices across full SDLC.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern AI technologies and scaling AI-enabled products.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management to develop roadmaps balancing product innovation and platform strategy.
• Unify engineering teams into a cohesive organization with clear priorities and cross-functional collaboration.
• Define engineering strategies to support current and future business needs with scalable and secure platforms.
• Drive architectural decisions across Core and Platform Services stacks.
• Coach and grow managers and senior managers to raise organizational effectiveness.
• Prioritize technical initiatives by articulating business value and aligning with strategic objectives.
• Lead hiring, workforce planning, and succession planning for top engineering talent.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and customer success to deliver large-scale initiatives.
• Promote Agile/Kanban and a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Support scaling of AI-driven products and data ecosystem developments.
