Job summary

Slope is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a group of engineers building Owner, our AI-native system for local businesses. This remote-first role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada, with close collaboration to Design, Product, and the AI Agents team to ship high-impact features.

You will hire, mentor, and grow engineers, shape architecture, and help scale a fast-moving product that powers restaurant owners online, on websites, and in ordering channels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading full-stack engineering teams in high-growth environments.
• Proven track record of delivering with cross-functional teams.
• Strong product intuition balancing speed, quality, and impact.
• Experience with React and Node.js in production-scale apps.
• Growth or PLG experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack engineering teams across Launch and Websites, building product surfaces used by restaurant owners to launch, activate, and grow on Owner.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and AI Agents teams to identify and execute high-impact initiatives, from self-serve activation flows to AI-powered website generation.
• Define and evolve the architecture behind a fast-moving, AI-augmented product surface, partnering with cross-team technical direction.
• Hire, grow, and retain exceptional engineers in a high-trust, high-impact environment.
• Foster a culture of simplicity, quality, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Contribute to code and architecture reviews, unblock teams, and lead by example when needed.
• Work with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Customer Success, and GTM to align initiatives with company goals.
