Cloudflare is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Agentic Commerce engineering team. You will oversee people, execution, and engineering quality for products powering machine-to-machine payments and monetization, collaborating with Product Management and other Cloudflare teams to deliver current priorities and shape future opportunities.

This is a management role focused on building capability rather than writing most code.

Qualifications

Led and developed high-performing engineering teams.
Demonstrated technical credibility with complex distributed systems and payment platforms.
Able to review designs, assess trade-offs, and investigate technical problems.

Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and grow engineers working on high-throughput payment pipelines and web-scale commerce architecture.
Own execution by setting priorities and enabling predictable delivery.
Lead development of agentic payment systems using open standards to enable micropayments.
Oversee usage metering, pricing engines, and revenue attribution models for agentic workflows.
Build capabilities for visibility and control over agent-generated revenue streams.
Collaborate with Product Management to translate problems into engineering outcomes.
Bridge traditional and decentralized tech interfacing with blockchain teams while focusing on fiat rails.
Balance near-term delivery with long-term technical investments.
Ensure operational health including observability, incident response, cryptographic security, and reliability.
Develop technical leaders and create space for engineers to lead architecture.
