Job summary

Global Payments seeks a Technical Lead for Agentic Commerce Engineering to shape autonomous commerce infrastructure. You will direct AI-agent integrations, secure checkout APIs, and merchant-facing SDKs with strong developer experience.

You will lead a greenfield squad, balance speed with security and reliability, and mentor engineers while driving architectural decisions in a complex enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with distributed services and APIs.
• Experience in cloud-native engineering across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Strong ability to design secure, auditable payment flows for AI agents.
• Proven leadership in architecture reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional influence.
• Experience designing API-first platforms with clear contracts and docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of secure checkout and payment APIs for AI agents.
• Architect merchant-facing APIs and SDKs with clear contracts and sandbox flows.
• Set technical direction for a greenfield agentic commerce squad.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and enforce engineering standards.
