Job summary

Constructor.io is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Agentic Integrations team to lead the build-out of scalable customer integrations across our global customer base. You’ll guide architecture, tooling, and platform improvements while partnering with Product, ML, Customer Success, and Solutions teams.

You will coach engineers, shape hiring, and ensure high-quality delivery in customer-facing, production-grade systems, with a focus on agentic capabilities and ML-powered products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years directly leading an engineering team.
• Strong technical background in backend, full-stack, platform, or applied ML product engineering.
• Experience leading teams that build customer-facing, production-grade systems or integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to triage ambiguous customer issues and translate them into clear technical plans.
• Comfort working directly with customers, including technical discovery, scoping, expectation-setting, troubleshooting, and communicating tradeoffs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, ML/Data Science, Customer Success, Solutions, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good product judgment and customer empathy, with a bias toward solving real customer problems while preserving long-term technical leverage.
• Experience with LLMs, agentic systems, ML-powered products, recommendations, search, personalization, or data-heavy SaaS products is a strong plus.
• Experience building reusable tooling, frameworks, SDKs, integration templates, or internal platforms is a plus.
• English on B2 level (CEFR) or higher.
• Able to attend regular meetings between 1300 and 1700 UTC.

Responsibilities

• Scale agentic integrations: be a part of building a new team that can deliver production-grade customer deployments across diverse environments.
• Balance customer delivery with scalable foundations: allocate capacity between hands-on integration work and reusable tooling and documentation.
• Collaborate across functions: work with Product, ML, Customer Success, Solutions, and Engineering to align on customer priorities and roadmap.
• Set technical direction and quality: establish high standards for architecture, testing, observability, and reliability in customer-facing integrations.
• Maintain operational excellence in customer work: implement lightweight processes for scoping, commitments, risks, and consistent customer experience.
• Improve developer experience: enhance internal and external tooling, playbooks, and debugging resources for agentic integrations.
• Recruiting and hiring: own end-to-end hiring for the team, build pipelines, run interviews, and close candidates.
• Career growth: coach engineers, provide feedback, and create advancement opportunities while navigating ambiguity.
