Job summary

FormativGroup, LLC. is seeking a Hands-on Engineering Manager for a full-time remote role. You will lead a team, contribute code, set technical direction, and modernize financial services technology while managing both legacy and new technologies.

You will hire and coach engineers, shape architecture decisions, and collaborate with AI agents throughout the development process to deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of an engineering team.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and React; experience with .NET/C# and Angular.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows in real delivery environments.
• Cloud-native applications on Azure, with familiarity in Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
