Job summary

Lyric (Lyric.ai) is seeking an Engineering Manager–Remote to oversee delivery for new customer implementations and ensure high standards of quality and operational health in a remote environment.

You will own end-to-end project delivery, manage staffing and sequencing, drive incident response, root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes while upholding best practices for code reviews, testing, and secure data handling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams with direct delivery ownership.
• Proven ability to review designs and code and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Experience operating production systems with real customers and incident handling.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for new customer implementations, managing sequencing, staffing, and dependencies
• Drive production health by managing incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing durable fixes
• Set high standards for code review, testing, and release practices while ensuring compliance with sensitive data handling

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years managing engineering teams with direct ownership of delivery and performance
• Demonstrated technical credibility in reviewing designs and code, and evaluating migration and reliability tradeoffs
• Experience operating a production system with real customers, including incident response and quality management
• Hands‑on familiarity with AI‑assisted development tooling and effective team application
