Job summary

MaintainX is hiring multiple Engineering Managers to lead one of several engineering teams. You’re the person who turns a roadmap into shipped, reliable software: you’ll manage 5 to 6 developers, own delivery and quality for your team’s area, and make the calls that keep a group of builders moving without losing the craft.

Partner with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and deliver against a high bar for reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development management experience.
• Proven track record shipping reliable software.
• Excellent communication with engineers and stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with Product and Design teams.
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5–6 developers, owning delivery and quality for your area.
• Turn roadmaps into shipped software with reliable execution.
• Set priorities and coach developers to grow their skills.
• Provide ongoing feedback and manage performance expectations.
• Champion CI/CD, code quality, and observability practices across the team.
• Provide senior leadership visibility into impact, progress, and risk.

• We’re looking for multiple Engineering Managers to lead one of several engineering teams
• Whichever team you land on, you’re the person who turns a roadmap into shipped, reliable software: you’ll manage 5 to 6 developers, own delivery and quality for your team’s area, and make the calls that keep a group of builders moving without losing the craft
• This is a single hiring pipeline across our product and platform teams
• On the product side, that could mean teams like Asset Lifecycle or Reporting, the systems behind work orders, assets, and scheduling that customers touch daily
• On the platform side, it could mean teams like Search or IAM, the shared services and infrastructure the product teams build on
• Manage a team of 5 to 6 developers: own their delivery, quality, and day-to-day priorities
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and deliver against a high bar for reliability
• Coach and grow your developers: help them build skills, navigate hard problems, and plan their next career step
• Set clear expectations and give ongoing feedback, so your team always knows where it stands
• Champion CI/CD, code quality, and observability practices across your team’s systems
• Give senior leadership visibility into your team’s impact, progress, and risk
