Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree a plus).
• 5+ years in engineering management in manufacturing.
• Experience in project management, engineering design, product development, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent engineering design software.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

We're seeking a dynamic, innovative and experienced Engineering Manager to join our thriving Manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of our manufacturing processes. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in driving our success by ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations. This role is ideally suited for a proactive, strategic thinker with a proven track record in engineering management and a keen eye for quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and development of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize process efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Drive product development, from conception to production, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Liaise with project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Utilize SolidWorks or equivalent software for product design and engineering tasks.
• Develop and implement robust quality control systems to ensure product integrity and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Manage operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team, fostering an environment of learning and development.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree would be a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering management in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in project management, engineering design, product development, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent engineering design software.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a team of engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, including project management teams and production staff.
• A proactive, strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational efficiency.
• A valid engineering license or certification would be an advantage.
