We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers while driving the successful delivery of complex hardware and systems development initiatives. This role combines people leadership with hands‑on technical oversight and is best suited for someone who can guide teams, solve complex engineering challenges, and take ownership of projects from early development through completed deployment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 10–15 engineers, including staffing, workload planning, performance feedback, and career development.
- Direct the technical execution of complex engineering programs from planning through completion.
- Ensure engineering work meets established requirements for quality, schedule, budget, performance, and cost.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams spanning multiple technical disciplines.
- Provide direct technical guidance and individual engineering contributions when required.
- Drive product and system development from initial concept through qualification and deployment.
- Apply systems‑level engineering principles to resolve complex technical challenges and support integration efforts.
- Develop technical plans, project estimates, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
- Lead engineering process improvements, including development, implementation, and team adoption.
- Communicate project status, technical risks, and engineering decisions effectively to leadership, customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related hardware‑focused engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of experience leading or managing engineering professionals.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams, including resource planning, employee development, performance management, and hiring.
- Proven experience leading hardware or engineered-product development from concept through qualification and deployment.
- Strong systems engineering background with experience coordinating multiple technical disciplines and integrated systems.
- Demonstrated success leading complex engineering projects with accountability for technical performance, schedule, budget, quality, and cost.
- Experience leading engineering process improvement initiatives, including implementation and training.
