Engineering Manager – Semiconductor Equipment - Ion Implantation Equipment

Greater Boston, Massachusetts | USA - $175K-$225K Base + Package/Benefits/Bonus

An opportunity to join a global market leader in semiconductor capital equipment as Engineering Manager, taking full responsibility for the Engineering function and leading a multidisciplinary team of approximately 25 engineers.

The business designs and manufactures advanced ion implantation equipment used by leading semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.

The Role

Reporting to senior business leadership, you will lead the Engineering organisation, setting technical direction, driving product development and ensuring successful delivery of engineering programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 25.
• Overseeing equipment design and development across mechanical, electrical, software, controls and systems engineering.
• Managing NPI programmes from initial concept and design through validation and production release.
• Developing engineering strategy, technology roadmaps and future product development plans.
• Overseeing sustaining engineering, product improvements and technical problem resolution.
• Managing engineering resources, budgets and project priorities.
• Working closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality and Service to drive product performance and reliability.

The Person

We are looking for an established engineering leader with experience in semiconductor capital equipment or complex machinery.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Significant engineering leadership experience, managing multidisciplinary teams.
• A background in semiconductor equipment, ideally ion implantation, deposition, plasma or vacuum technology.
• Strong foundations in equipment design, systems engineering and product development.
• Experience leading NPI programmes and taking products from development into production.
• The ability to develop engineering teams, manage technical roadmaps and influence at senior leadership level.
