Qualifications

Holden Richardson is conducting a search for an Engineering Manager on behalf of a specialized global manufacturer in Albuquerque. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a talented engineering team while remaining directly involved in manufacturing, process improvement, NPI, and technical problem-solving.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Site Leader, you’ll lead Manufacturing & Production Design Engineering and help drive the operation forward through:

• Continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity
• Root-cause analysis & problem solving for complex production issues
• New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development
• Engineering project leadership, prioritization, and execution
• Development of improved workflows, testing capabilities, and process controls
• Cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, Production, and other teams
• Customer-facing technical support for projects and escalated issues
• Coaching and developing engineers while building greater engineering capability across the operation

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader, not someone who wants to manage from behind a desk.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 8+ years of manufacturing experience
• 3+ years leading or supervising engineers
• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with Lean, continuous improvement, SPC, and root-cause analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly with manufacturing teams
• A track record of turning engineering ideas into measurable operational improvements

Lean Six Sigma experience/certification is a plus.
