Job summary

Campbell Soup Company in Bloomfield, CT, seeks a Manager of Engineering & Maintenance to lead site engineering, maintenance, reliability, and capital projects. You will direct a team of engineers and external partners to improve equipment reliability, capacity, and safety while delivering projects on time and within budget.

The role oversees a $20 million annual capital program, drives TPM culture, and partners with Operations, Quality, Safety, Distribution, and Finance to enhance site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive engineering, maintenance, reliability, or technical leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading both engineering projects and maintenance or reliability programs.
• Experience managing capital projects, including scope, budget, schedule, contractors, commissioning, and operational handoff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site’s multi-year capital investment and technical improvement strategy.
• Lead capital projects from concept through design, installation, commissioning, qualification, and handoff.
• Provide leadership to a team of engineering and technical resources; manage external partners and contractors.
• Ensure projects meet safety, food safety, quality, schedule, and financial requirements.
• Identify and implement productivity, capacity, automation, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Lead the site maintenance organization and establish performance expectations and accountability.
• Develop TPM and equipment reliability strategy; improve asset reliability and planning.
• Strengthen mechanical, electrical, controls, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action efforts for equipment failures.
• Establish staffing, training, and succession plans for current and future needs.
• Serve as senior technical leader and advisor on equipment, infrastructure, and automation matters.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize reliability and productivity; manage budgets and forecasts.
• Lead major shutdowns, installations, and commissioning activities with cross-functional teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
