Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager for a fast-paced automotive supplier facility near Mansfield, OH. This on-site, full-time role leads the engineering and maintenance teams within a growing plant.

You will manage budgets, drive capital projects, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a technical Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in manufacturing engineering management, with experience in automation, PLCs, and robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering management or equivalent.
• Experience leading and developing engineering/maintenance teams.
• Experience with multi-shift operations in automated environments.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and CAPEX projects.
• Strong background in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor the engineering and maintenance team.
• Manage day-to-day production engineering needs and improve processes.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to completion within budgets and timelines.
• Oversee annual capital equipment budget and manage expenses.
• Support complex electrical troubleshooting, PLCs and robotics.
• Lead validation of new equipment and present project updates to leadership.
• Oversee external contractors and ensure reporting to upper management.
