Job summary

4FRONT Engineered Solutions seeks an Engineering Manager to lead product engineering, R&D, and continuous improvement at its Muskego, WI facility. You will drive the full product lifecycle, oversee capital projects up to $5M, and develop a high-performing engineering team onsite.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in product/design/manufacturing engineering and 3+ years in leadership, with strong CAD/GD&T experience and a proven record of cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Process Engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in new product development and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience with GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience using CATIA or similar advanced CAD systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and launch of new products from concept through production.
  • Drive engineering initiatives focused on product performance, reliability, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative and manufacturable solutions.
  • Manage capital projects ranging from $50K to $5M, from business case through implementation.
  • Oversee CAD standards, product documentation, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Support manufacturing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve OEE.
  • Lead root cause investigations, customer issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop supplier relationships to enhance product quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of engineers and technical professionals.
  • Serve as a technical leader and key contributor to strategic business initiatives.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Process Engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience
  • Strong experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in new product development and product lifecycle management
  • Experience with GD&T and engineering drawing standards
  • Experience using CATIA or similar advanced CAD systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience leading capital projects and manufacturing improvements
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Customer-facing problem‑solving and quality systems experience
  • Experience working closely with suppliers and production operations
