Job summary

Automated Industrial Robotics Silicon Valley Inc. seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide our Silicon Valley team from concept through first article and deployment.

You will drive technical direction for complex capital equipment, collaborate with customers, and mentor senior engineers while navigating ambiguous requirements. This role reports to AIR SV and shapes future technical capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience including responsibility for complex engineered systems or capital equipment
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams or multidisciplinary technical organizations
• Experience developing complex capital equipment or working with end users of production equipment
• Experience with multidisciplinary systems involving mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering
• Strong technical judgment and ability to participate credibly in architecture reviews and customer conversations

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization and guide technical direction
• Shape equipment concepts and manage technical risk across projects
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand needs and translate them into concepts
• Lead and mentor senior engineers and ensure capability development within the team
• Partner with sales and other AIR units to align capabilities with business objectives
