Job summary

GoGrow is building its first engineering team in Latin America and seeks a founding Engineering Lead to ship production features from day one, then hire and scale a 3–5 engineer team to 15–25 within a year. You’ll own product areas end-to-end, such as payer portal automation or Voice AI, and work closely with US Product and Engineering.

Engineering Lead - US Healthtech AI

Remote, LATAM (Brazil, Uruguay, or elsewhere in LATAM)

The role

GoGrow is helping a fast-growing US healthtech company build its first engineering team in Latin America, and we need the founding lead. The client runs an AI platform for healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), used by more than 10,000 providers. Its team is AI-native: most code is written with Claude, Cursor, and similar tools.

You’ll start hands‑on, shipping production features. Then you’ll hire and lead a team that starts at 3–5 engineers and is planned to reach 15–25 within a year. The team will own a product area end to end, such as payer portal automation, payer policy tooling, or Voice AI. You’ll be dedicated to this client full‑time and part of their engineering team, not working from a ticket queue.

• Design, build, and ship production features from day one
• Own your area from architecture through production support
• Hire, mentor, and grow your team, and set how it works
• Scope and deliver predictably, working closely with US Product and Engineering
• Keep the bar high on quality and security in a HIPAA-regulated environment

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years building SaaS products across the full stack
• Proven leadership as an EM or director, ideally having built a team from scratch, while still writing code
• Strong experience with Python, React, TypeScript, AWS, Postgres, Snowflake
• Fluent English and sustained experience working with US teams
• An ownership mindset and the ability to deliver predictably
• Nice to have: Healthtech or RCM experience (strongly preferred), and experience with payer integrations, RPA, LLMs, FastAPI, or LangChain.
