Urrly, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Mid-Level–Senior) to help build AI-powered healthcare software for US customers. This fully remote role offers ownership of meaningful features and opportunities to impact product direction as the team scales.

You’ll join a 30-person engineering team, work across Rails, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, and collaborate with product partners and health-plan stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software with strong testing and reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience with Rails or Python and willingness to learn across the stack.
• Solid SQL and PostgreSQL experience.
• Fundamentals in API design, testing, debugging, and performance.
• Experience delivering web apps or full‑stack features with UI–service–DB integration.
• Good Git, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support habits.
• Clear communication and curiosity; ability to adapt to changing requirements.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build applications, APIs, integrations, data workflows, and internal tools.
• Take features from understanding the problem through implementation, testing, release, and improvement.
• Work with Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in a database-intensive environment.
• Improve performance, data quality, reliability, and visibility into production systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to ship useful software.
• Use AI coding tools thoughtfully, with strong review, testing, and accountability for the result.
• At the senior level, lead larger technical initiatives, guide architecture decisions, and raise engineering standards while remaining hands-on.

Our client is a fast-scaling, AI-enabled healthcare technology company. You’ll join a 30‑person engineering team that’s hiring hands‑on software engineers from mid‑level through senior.

If you have 3–4 years of strong production experience and are ready for more ownership, we want to meet you. What you’ll work on

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, with opportunities for mid‑level and senior engineers
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails or Python, plus the ability to learn and work across the stack
• Strong SQL and hands‑on PostgreSQL experience
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, API design, testing, debugging, and system performance
• Experience delivering web applications or full‑stack features, with an understanding of how the user interface, services, and database fit together
• Good habits around Git, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support
• Clear communication, curiosity, and the ability to work through changing requirements
• Practical experience with AI‑assisted development and the judgment to validate what it produces

You don’t need to know every technology we use. We care about what you’ve built, how you solve problems, and how quickly you can learn.

Helpful experience

• Healthcare, insurance, or other sensitive‑data environments
• AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or observability tools
• Data pipelines, event-driven systems, or reliable third‑party integrations
• Node.js or C# in addition to your core backend language

Compensation and leveling

The annual base salary range is $140,000–$200,000 USD, plus bonus and equity. Expected base salary bands are:

• Mid-level: $140,000–$165,000
• Experienced mid-level: $165,000–$190,000
• Senior-level: $190,000–$200,000

Your level and offer will reflect your demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and the scope you can own. Years of experience are a guide, not the sole deciding factor.

Location and schedule

This role is fully remote within the United States, with reliable overlap with Pacific Time. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. No travel is required.
