Payabli, a fintech operating system leader, seeks an Engineering Lead for PayIn to own money inflow systems, including payment APIs, invoicing, and digital wallets. You will drive a high-performing team, set the technical and personnel direction, and partner with Risk, AI, and Payments teams to ensure scalable, reliable financial services.

The role emphasizes leadership, rapid delivery, and strong ownership across the payment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production backend systems; 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience in payments ecosystems including gateways, funding, or settlement is required.
• You’ve scaled a critical team and systems, improving reliability and delivery.
• You define expectations, build accountability, and make hard people decisions with care.
• You're a clear communicator who can influence across PMs, partners, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performing, distributed engineering team.
• Deliver commitments with the PayIn roadmap at pace.
• Scale payment acceptance APIs, invoicing, and related modules.
• Oversee funding, transfers, and reconciliation workflows.
• Ensure production-grade integrations with processors and banks.
• Shape fast, safe releases for money-movement systems.
• Define SLOs, observability, and incident practices.
