Job summary

Garner Health seeks a Director to lead FIN Engineering, responsible for ingestion through payments and ledger reconciliation. You will own the multi-year roadmap, set standards for correctness and security, and stay close to code and incidents to guide outcomes.

You will report to the CTO and manage Engineering Managers and senior ICs, shaping an AI-native, high-velocity engineering culture that moves money safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in high-urgency environments.
• Proven ability to own multi-year roadmaps and deliverables.
• Hands-on engineering mindset with ability to review code, designs and incidents.
• Strong track record in scalable backend systems and data security.

Responsibilities

• Lead FIN Engineering across ingestion, eligibility, adjudication, accumulation, and payments/treasury.
• Own multi-year roadmap and accountable for technical direction and delivery.
• Set engineering quality bar, conduct reviews, and guide incident response.
• Collaborate with CTO, Product, Finance, and partners to translate business needs into technical plans.
