Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking Interns for projects in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Ashburn, VA. This 12-week program combines hands-on field experience with office support in estimating and preconstruction to prepare you for leadership roles.

Interns will assist in project coordination, change orders, bidding coordination, scheduling, documentation, safety, and RFIs/submittals. Relocation may be required for specific roles, with benefits including medical insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week work schedule preferred.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders
