Job summary

Walsh Group is seeking a Project Engineer for projects in Virginia Beach, VA, Chesapeake, VA and Ashburn, VA. You will support the project team with document control, procurement, QA/QC, subcontractor coordination, survey/layout, and progress photography.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Internship or co-op experience is a plus, and relocation may be required for certain roles.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in project engineering or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
• Assist project team with daily project coordination
• Procurement of construction materials
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordinate subcontractors
• Survey and project layout
• Weekly progress photos
• Manage construction equipment
• Safety management
• Project estimating

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Internship / co-op experience a plus
