Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. seeks interns for projects in the North Carolina region, Havelock and Jacksonville, NC. The program offers hands-on experience in project engineering and field management and opportunities to travel across the United States.

Interns will be matched to roles aligned with academic goals, and may work on sites or in the office supporting estimating and preconstruction activities. A 12-week schedule is preferred, with potential relocation for some roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree is preferred
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred
• Specific roles may require relocation

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders
