Job summary

Duke Energy offers summer internships and co-ops for engineering students, with rotations across Transmission, Distribution, EHS, and Regulated & Renewable Energy. You’ll learn from experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in grid design, maintenance, and safety.

Locations across our footprint, including Indiana, provide hybrid and onsite options. A housing stipend is available where applicable, and internships run 10–12 weeks in the summer.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with CAD tools, MATLAB, PSS/E, Power World.
• Previous engineering work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership through effective decision making.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world projects with staff engineers.
• Rotate through Transmission, Distribution, and other groups.
• Assist with design, analysis, and project management.
