Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is offering a Manufacturing/Equipment/Supplier Engineering Intern position for Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering majors. The program runs for 10–12 weeks, starting in May or June, with full-time hours on a fully onsite workplace in Sunnyvale, CA.

Interns will support engineering tasks related to medical device development and robotic systems. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on prototype experience where possible.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering degree program (Bachelor's level); Master's considered based on experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork are required.
• Preferred hands-on prototype creation and familiarity with manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks and documentation for medical device development and robotic systems.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to provide updates and deliver task outputs.
• Work on substantive projects with potential to impact the company’s future business.
• Present project outcomes and lessons learned to the organization.
