Job summary

Fransen Pittman General Contractors is seeking an Intern Project Engineer to support field and project engineering activities in Englewood, CO. You will coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and the site team to keep projects on schedule using your BIM and documentation skills.

The internship requires current enrollment in a construction management program, strong tech skills (Word/Outlook/Excel/Bluebeam), and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a college accredited construction management program.
• Strong technology skills; proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam; Revit/Revizto a plus.
• Ability to read and understand all project documents (plans, specs).
• Professional communication with all levels of personnel and external clients/partners.
• Able to collaborate in a team and work independently when needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high accuracy.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate needs and resolve conflicts with trade partners to keep projects on track.
• Review project documents and lead times for materials to meet schedule.
• Coordinate delivery of materials with sub-contractors and site superintendent.
• Review submittals before sending to Architect for approval.
• Generate RFIs to the design team.
• Distribute updated plans and specs to subcontractors.
• Assist with obtaining permits before project start.
• Create and distribute punch lists to ensure timely completion.
• Collect owner/operations manuals and warranties from subs.
• Gather Revizto and Navisworks files for import into Revizto.
• Assist with developing the Project QA/QC plan.
• Maintain project documentation and files.
