Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root offers an internship opportunity for students in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering, or Computer Science to work on embedded hardware design. You will collaborate with EE, software, and mechanical teams to learn design processes and support production sustainment.

Interns are paid with hourly rates by qualification level and receive company-paid holidays plus a paid volunteer day; benefits details vary by location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with the design, development, and execution of embedded electronic hardware solutions to address business needs

• Collaborate with peers, electrical, software, and mechanical development teams, quality assurance and others as needed

• Learn the basics of engineering design processes to reduce cost and enhance reliability.

• Research and test solutions to aid production sustainment efforts.

• With supervision, create product test plans, define success criteria, gather data and interpret the results.

WHO YOU ARE

• Working on a degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with electronic design and/or embedded programing. Completed sophomore year of college at a minimum. Junior year or higher preferred.

• Familiarity with analog and digital circuit design

• Ability to support new product development projects

• Interaction with other members of the EE team, cross-functional groups (SW, Mechanical, Quality), and external suppliers

Hourly rates are as follows: Sophomore:$23/hour Junior: $24/hour Senior: $27/hour Master's: $27/hour Interns are eligible for company-paid holidays and one scheduled paid volunteer day. Interns are not eligible for vacation benefits, 401(k), medical or dental coverage, scholarships, or tuition reimbursement.
