Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a Sr Electrical/Embedded Design Engineer to drive design, development, testing, and sustainment of electronic products from concept through production in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on microprocessor-based designs, embedded software, analog/digital circuits, real-time I/O, EMI compliance, and power supplies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years Embedded programming experience.
• Experience with sensors, wireless, and/or data collection systems.
• Familiarity with communication driver designs such as RS-232/485, USB, or ethernet.
• Ability to support or lead development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-learner with strong drive to research, experiment, and be hands on with projects.

Responsibilities

• Product opportunities with Marketing, industry requirements, competitive analysis

Job Overview

The position also supports product improvement opportunities by collaborating with cross-functional teams and assessing industry requirements and competitive trends. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-directed engineer with experience in embedded systems and a strong interest in developing reliable, manufacturable electronic products.
