Job summary

SRK Consulting in Reno, Nevada is seeking an Engineering Intern (Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental) to support the engineering team on various projects, including earthworks design, field work, and site visits.

This role offers exposure to mining industry consulting, collaboration in a hybrid work environment, and opportunities to learn AutoCAD/Civil 3D while developing technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, or recent graduate.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Effective communication and leadership qualities and ability to work in a team environment.
• Desire to learn about and gain a strong understanding of the mining consulting industry.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering team on special projects such as engineering calculations, design work for earthworks projects, field work or site visits and review of technical reports.
