Job summary

SRK Consulting (U.S.), Inc. in Reno, NV seeks a Senior Consultant to support geotechnical exploration and instrumentation at mining sites, analyze data, prepare memoranda, and review drawings.

You will develop geotechnical analyses for embankments using SLIDE2 and SLOPE/W, and work with AutoCAD and Muck3D, coordinating with clients and field teams. A Civil Engineering degree and 8 years of experience are required; telecommuting may be permissible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8 years of progressively responsible geotechnical experience required or 6 years with Master’s degree.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical exploration and instrumentation at mining sites.
• Analyze and interpret geotechnical data and prepare technical memoranda.
• Review engineering drawings, respond to RFIs, and prepare proposals.
• Develop geotechnical analyses for embankment and earthen structure design using SLIDE2 and SLOPE/W.
