Lewis Energy Group offers a field-focused internship program designed to provide students with real work experience in the upstream energy space. Over ten weeks, interns collaborate with Lewis Energy team members on ongoing operations and gain exposure to South Texas natural gas development.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, have completed sophomore year, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• The Intern will perform project related work in their field and will be required to provide a summary of their work at the conclusion of their internship.
• The intern will operate under the supervision and mentoring of an industry professional.
• The intern will have an opportunity to connect with personnel across the company and provide real solutions to situations involved.

A Strong Candidate For This Position Will Have

Qualifications

Basic:

• Pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Must have completed sophomore year status and in good academic standing.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Other

• Demonstrate good communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrate computer skills.
