Job summary

Energy Transfer LP offers a 12-week Engineering Internship program beginning in May 2027 across multiple locations, including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Midland and Mont Belvieu. Interns will become familiar with our energy assets, gaining hands‑on experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission, storage and export of natural gas and liquids.

You will assist with process simulations, system modeling and field operations, while developing technical, communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering student in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Electrical disciplines, with sophomore-level coursework.
• Self-motivated with involvement in activities outside college studies.
• Above-average GPA.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with energy assets across gas/liquids portfolio, gaining exposure to gathering, processing, treating, transmission, storage and export.
• Assist with process simulation, system modeling, gas/fluids flow measurements, pipe/vessel sizing, equipment functions, and field operations.

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer program to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
• Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, and maintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below.

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
• Above average GPA
