City of Chesapeake is seeking an Engineering Technical Supervisor to lead the Inspections team within the Development & Permits Department in Chesapeake, VA. The role will supervise inspectors, plan and schedule inspections, coordinate with contractors, and review project documentation for accuracy and compliance.

A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, at least three years of full-time experience, and a valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and evaluates subordinate construction inspections staff.
• Plan and schedule inspections.
• Coordinate with construction contractors, developers, and engineers to accomplish goals and communicate information.
• Review project documentation such as plans, contracts, specifications, and field reports for progress and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve engineering problems with construction projects and respond to citizen inquiries.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and conferences to improve professional skills.
